Russia's Aeroflot was named the world's most punctual airline in 2019 in a new report.
He beat Japan's All Nippon Airways (ANA), which ranks second, and Delta Air Lines, the top-ranked US airline, is third overall. Virgin Atlantic is the UK's most punctual carrier.

The report, On-Time Performance Review, is compiled annually by the travel data and analysis company Cirium.
It tracks over 100,000 flights around the world every day and bases its 2019 analysis on an 80% coverage requirement.
According to Cirium, a flight is on time if the aircraft arrives at the gate 15 minutes after the expected arrival time.
Cirium classifies major flights – those operated by one major airline – and network flights – those which are flown by one major airline and those marketed by it but operated by a separate carrier.
On-time airport performance is measured by on-time departures.
Aeroflot, the top-ranked top airline, saw 86.7% of its flights operating within the 2019 deadline, according to the data.
All Nippon Airways saw 86.3% of its flights operate on time, while Delta Air Lines saw 85.7% of services arrive on time.
In fourth place is Azul Brazilian Airlines, with 83.5%, followed by Japan Airlines, with 82.2%.

In the network airline category, Latin American airline LATAM ranked first with 86.7% of its network flights arriving on time.
