TULSA, Oklahoma (AP) – Brandon Rachal scored 20 points and 11 rebounds, while Tulsa defeated southeastern Louisiana 73-66 on Wednesday night.
Darien Jackson scored the top 18 of his career at Tulsa (4-1), who clinched his fourth straight home win. Jeriah Horne added 10 points.
Tulsa had a 10-0 run in the closing minutes to seal the victory. The Lions led 59-57, with less than 5:00 left, when Tulsa's Jeriah Horne completed a three-point game to take the lead of 60-59, with 4:24 remaining. Southeastern Louisiana did not score again until Von Julien hit the scoring with 3 points, reaching 67-62, with 1:47 remaining.
Tyron Brewer scored 17 points for the Lions (2-3). Pape Diop added 13 points. Brandon Gonzalez scored 10 points.
Tulsa takes over the state of South Carolina at home next Wednesday. Southeastern Louisiana faces Austin Peay on the road on Saturday.
