What motivated the protest

Activist Alfie Warren-Knight, one of the protesters, said after the act that they wanted to call on filmmakers to use their influence to help people around the world understand the serious climate problem facing Earth.

In a press release, the protester wrote: “During the World Government Summit in Dubai, Harrison ford said we are dealing with the biggest moral crisis of our times. ”

He then made a request: “The film industry needs to use its influence and narrative powers to help people around the world understand the urgency of this situation and spread the message and public discussion about climate and ecological emergencies before it's too late. ”
