London's St Pancras International has been named the best train station in Europe in a new ranking.

The ranking, called the European Railway Station Index, was compiled by the Consumer Choice Center (CCC).
Other factors that were taken into account in the creation of the ranking were the availability of hitchhiking services, the number of international destinations served, the average number of strike days and the existence of first class lounges.
St Pancras, at the top of the ranking, claims to be number one because researchers say it has "a low number of strike days, high convenience for passengers and international connectivity".
Second, Zurich has a large number of shops and restaurants, while Leipzig is third for serving 51 domestic and six international destinations.
Zurich Central Station is in second place. It was praised for its high number of shops and restaurants
Leipzig claims third for serving 51 domestic and six international destinations
Fourth is Rome's Termini station and fifth is Munich Central Station.
Hamburg and Berlin Central Stations are in sixth place, with Milan Central Station in eighth.
Moscow Kazansky and Frankfurt Central Station make up the rest of the top 10 in ninth place.
Other UK railway stations in the ranking are Birmingham New Street (11th), London Bridge (14th), London Victoria (20th), London Victoria (20th), London Liverpool Street (25th) and London Euston (32nd).
The station at the bottom of the ranking is the Magenta station in Paris.
Copenhagen's Nørreport Station (50), Haussmann-Saint-Lazare (49) and Châtelet-Les Halles (48) are also doing poorly. The latter two are both in Paris.
Fourth, is Rome's Termini station. It is one of the two Italian stations in the top 10. The other is Milan Centrale
Fred Roeder, managing director of the Consumer Choice Center, said: & # 39; As any traveler knows, during peak hours, many railway stations face peak passengers, and this experience reaches everyone who takes a train.
Highlights were given to stations that offered great destinations across the continent and also had a healthy mix of shops, restaurants and conveniences.
We also reward stations that experience the least number of strike days, something that passengers in many countries could only hope for.
& # 39; London St Pancras not only looks like an out-of-this-world station, it also tops that index as the best train station in Europe. Generally, Germany and Italy lead the way in Europe.
& # 39; Half of Europe's top 10 stations are in Germany and two in Italy. No French stations have reached the top 10. & # 39;
