The final episode of the 10th season of The Walking Dead will not be broadcast as planned on April 12 due to the coronavirus pandemic. AMC issued a statement stating that the 16th episode cannot be finalized and will be shown at the end of the year as a special.
“Unfortunately, current events have made it impossible to complete post-production for the end of season 10 of The Walking Dead, so the current season will end with its 15th episode on April 5th. The planned ending will appear as a special episode at the end of the year ”.
This is the second time that the Walking Dead franchise has been affected by the coronavirus. Walking Dead: World Beyond, a spin-off that would open on April 12 after the screening of the 10th season finale of TWD, has been postponed by AMC, and is currently without a release date.

In the last episode of the series, Danai Gurira said goodbye to his character, Michonne, who she has played since the third season. Like Andrew Lincoln, Rick, his ending was left open for a possible return in the future. Lincoln, even, must star in a trilogy derived from the main series.
