Virgin Atlantic unveils a Boeing 747 that received an out-of-the-world Star Wars painting featuring a huge Millennium Falcon
- The jumbo was decorated with a huge Millennium Falcon illustration and a Galaxy's Edge logo.
- The themed plane, known as 'The Falcon', will carry tourists from Gatwick to Orlando.

At a distant airport, you'll find a Virgin Atlantic 747 that has been decorated with a jaw-dropping Star Wars painting.
The jumbo is adorned with a huge Millennium Falcon and a Star Wars logo: Galaxy's Edge, which is 144 feet from end to end.
Virgin Atlantic said the entire painting took weeks to produce and uses 14,000 millimeters of paint.

The themed plane, called "The Falcon", will carry tourists from London Gatwick Airport to Orlando, Florida.
There they will be able to experience Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, which opened at Walt Disney World Resort last month.
Virgin Holidays director Joe Thompson said: “We are incredibly proud to see The Falcon fly with the iconic Millennium Falcon of the much-loved Star Wars saga as it takes passengers to experience the exciting new Star Wars: Land of the Galaxy's Edge at Walt Disney World Resort, Florida.

Dave Napper, senior engineer at Virgin Atlantic, said: “It was a very exciting summary to be able to redesign our aircraft décor to represent something as iconic as the Millennium Falcon and not something you can do every day.
"We have a lot of Star Wars fans within the company who have had a chance to get involved in some way, and we can't wait to see The Falcon fly."
The aircraft will transport tourists from London Gatwick Airport to Orlando, Florida, where they can visit Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at Walt Disney World Resort.
In addition to the official launch of the Falcon plane, Virgin Holidays has launched Best Star Wars Experience on Virgin Holidays – A curated vacation experience at Walt Disney World Resort, Florida, which will take off February 15-22, 2020.
Experience includes flights back from Gatwick to Orlando, access to Star Wars: Galaxy Edge an hour before the park opens, the chance to meet Star Wars characters, a Star Wars themed dinner with a Disney Imagineer and hotel accommodation. Walt Disney World Resort.
To celebrate the concept, the travel company launched a social media contest, encouraging members of the public who locate the plane to capture and share their images of it for the chance to win two seats aboard The Ultimate Virgin Holidays Star Wars Experience.
Images must be tagged with Virgin Holidays and Virgin Atlantic and include #TheFalcon in the photo caption.
All entries received by Wednesday 9 October will be drawn.
